The Diocese of Hereford Organists’ Training Scheme (DHOTS) invites you to a celebratory event marking 18 years of the work of DHOTS , training organists in the Diocese of Hereford and beyond.

Organists for the Future

Tuesday 2nd July at Leominster Priory

7pm to 8.30pm

– To include –

Introduction to the work/role of DHOTS by the Bishop of Hereford and Peter Dyke, including work with young people

An opportunity for clergy, organists, musicians, potential organists and all churchgoers to discuss how to ensure the future health of church music despite the many current challenges

Andrew McCrae, Deputy Director & Director of Studies of the Royal College of Organists, will discuss links with helpful organisations (RSCM, RCO,IAO,HOS)

Ways to encourage a supply of capable organists for the future

Launch of latest DHOTS publications, demonstration of new compositions and user-friendly hymns

Q & A session

Refreshments and cake will be provided

Music performed by DHOTS students
